Photo: Pope signs new Encyclical "Fratelli Tutti on St Francis tomb in Assisi
Dear Confreres,
During Angelus this blessed afternoon, on the Feast of the Seraphic Father, St. Francis of Assisi, Pope Francis officially launched the publication of his Encyclical entitled “Fratelli Tutti” which speaks on fraternity and social friendship. I am sure a good number of you witnessed this momentous event through the various mass media outlets available to you.
With this communiqué, I would like to exhort you to read and meditate, on a personal and community level, this Encyclical that comes at an opportune time, to a world that desperately needs a message of hope, especially on how we relate with one another. I pray that after reading and meditating on its contents, Fratelli Tutti will move us to concrete ways of putting into practice the ideas and exhortations therein. You will find below, the links to access the soft copy of the Encyclical.
Dear Confreres, it goes without saying that you are better situated for the maximum diffusion of “Fratelli Tutti”. I will therefore enjoin you to use all the means at your disposal to disseminate the Encyclical to the maximum number of our brothers and sisters (lay partners, parishioners, staff and students in our schools, etc.), while encouraging them also to make time to read, meditate upon, discuss and put into practice the content of this letter from the heart of the Holy Father.
