After the launch of the human rights review “Papua: the Neglected Paradise” the book has been presented to the Holy Father, Pope Francis and to the Secretary of State Cardinal Parolin.
The West Papua Network in Rome, which SVD is a member congregation, has worked to develop relationships with the Vatican, with the Indonesian Embassy and with members of religious congregations in Rome and at the local level in West Papua. The two leaders in the Vatican both expressed their awareness of the current issues and their support for our efforts.
